VASCULAR LESION TREATMENT
SAY GOODBYE TO UNSIGHTLY VASCULAR LESIONS
Vascular lesions are caused by the distention of blood vessels due to skin irritation, UV rays, misuses of medication, pathological causes, or simply normal physiological change.
The IPL by Lumenis, or for Intense Pulsed Light, is an incredibly versatile and effective treatment again benign cutaneous vascular lesions. The upgraded IPL™ with OPT™ is considered to be the “Gold Standard” among laser treatments. Its efficacy has been documented in over 80 peer reviewed papers.
Lumenis has been a leader in the aesthetic industry for over 45 years, leading the way in safety and innovation. They are renowned for their extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, and remain at the forefront of laser technology, delivering top of the line systems for superior results.
Thanks to the cutting-edge technology of the IPL™ with OPT™.by Lumenis we are able to reduce or remove the visibility of benign cutaneous vascular lesions, including:
Leg Veins – often the result of heredity, hormonal fluctuations, weight gain, and/or prolonged sitting or standing
Port Wine Stain Birthmarks – these flat birthmarks typically range from light pink to dark red, and tend to have a poorly defined border
Telangiectasias – dilated capillary blood vessels most often affecting fair skin types; red or pink in color, they are usually less than 0.2mm in diameter shaped in a lacework, cluster or branch-like pattern
Cherry Angiomas – typically seen in older adults, these are small red-purple bump(s) on the skin
Strawberry Angiomas – typically appears at birth, first as a pale area of skin that becomes a red rubbery nodule within 2-4 weeks
Spider Angiomas – most common on the face and upper chest
Venous Lake – typically a solitary, soft, compressible, dark blue to violaceous papule, 0.2 to 1 cm in size
The procedure itself is simple and painless – a continuously cooled applicator is placed gently over the skin where a broad spectrum pulsed light is transmitted. The pulsed light penetrates the tissue where it is absorbed by blood chromophores. The blood chromophores are damaged, and the resulting lesion debris is cleared away by the body’s natural processes. The result: a more even and youthful appearance. The range of wavelengths can be adjusted and optimized for different applications and skin types.
