PHOTOREJUVENATION

STIMULATES DORMANT SKIN CELLS

PROMOTES COLLAGEN GROWTH

MINIMIZES PORE SIZE

DIMINISHES THE APPEARANCE OF FINE LINES

PHOTOREJUVENATION or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is perfect for treating pigmentation issues and evening out skin tone, including:

  • Age Spots

  • Freckles

  • Skin Tone

  • Hormonal Changes

  • Sun Damage

  • Broken Capillaries

  • Brown Spots

  • Vascular Abnormalities

  • Redness

  • Spider Veins

  • Rosacea

  • Damaged Blood Vessels

  • Discoloration or Scars from Acne

Photorejuvenation promotes the growth of collagen and stimulates dormant skin skins while reducing the appearance of pores and fine lines for a rejuvenated, youthful appearance. IPL works by emitting high intensity light pulses deep into the skin; multiple wavelengths pass through a rectangular crystal to target and collapse damaged blood vessels and/or melanin. The technology is highly advanced, allowing for control of the frequency and range so that surrounding skin tissues are hardly affected. Because it uses a range of wavelengths, it is ideal for the treatment of larger skin areas and concerns, particularly in the case of skin discoloration.

Session Time: 10-15 minutes

# of Treatments: Varies for each patient; typically patients come back once or twice a year to keep brown spots, fine lines, and blood vessels at bay

Photorejuvenation works best on pale to medium or olive-toned skin tones. Since it target melanin, it is not suitable for darker skin tips, as they are at a higher risk of adverse pigmentation issues. IPL may be used to treat the face, neck, chest, arms and even the backs of the hands. Clients report a slight but tolerable stinging sensation during their sessions, which typically last around 10 minutes. Numbing cream may be applied for optimal comfort.

Possible side effects of IPL include temporary redness, darkening of freckles or brown spots, and/or slight swelling. Serious side effects are rare but may include prolonged redness, swelling, bruising, blistering, scarring, or discoloration. Most side effects can be avoided by taking care to stay out of the sun before and after the procedure. In the long term, skin protection from the sun will not only prevent side effects but actually prolong results of your IPL treatment.
